A Victorian lady is on Helena Reijnen's workshop program this year. The Porcelain fashion doll kit will be assembled, the lady will then be elegantly and elaborately dressed and finally coiffed in the style of her time.

When creating a small kitchen scene, seminar participants learn from Cristina Hampe how to model raw chicken fillets from polymer clay and prepare them as realistically as possible on a
wooden board ready for cooking.
The Fimo expert will give lots of useful tips on how to use the
modeling clay skilfully and how to mix colors for a realistic finish that is true to the original.

At the heart of the Roombox, which the participants in this
Mi RoLi course are working on, is a room-sized drawer cabinet. Under the guidance of Michaela Liesch, it is assembled step by step, painted in the desired color (there are various shades to choose from) and aged if desired.
The students also learn how to make leaf plants, boxes and jugs and other decorative items out of paper to decorate the roombox.

Making up a beautiful Tiffany lamp is the theme of this year's Nalladris workshop.
Under the guidance of Sun and Luc Lemmens, their students will learn how to give a cast bronze lamp base an antique bronze look, shape a lampshade from brass and finally give it a “stained glass look” in their favorite colors.
Finally, the lamp is illuminated with a Nal LED and a crystal ball to distribute the light evenly under the shade.

The popular electrics course by Roland Sachse has almost become a tradition in the 1zu12 workshop program
The course comprises four sections: Electrical engineering theory, electrical engineering practice, and - after a one-hour lunch break - soldering from large to super small (soldering stations are provided on loan) as well as making an illuminated Advent wreath or arrangement, fitted with LED real wax candles.
Course participants can of course take the finished workpiece home with them. They will also receive a comprehensive manuscript as a reference book for the further electrification of their doll's house.

„Houseplants bring much atmosphere to the miniature world”,
says miniature botanist Astrid Wilk. Her “Stromanthe Triostar”,
a houseplant with multi-colored patterned leaves, adds a pretty
colorful accent.
Course participants learn how to model the plant from polymer clay using the cane technique. That means, the only way to
achieve realistic color gradients is by skilfully layering colored
modeling clay; no extra painting is necessary afterwards.
